Fear! Overcoming Fear With Courage. Change Courage To Adventure And Excitement
Fear! The Act of being afraid. Fear! The thought that some awful will happen. Fear! Being afraid of being hurt. Remember the old phrase Stick and Stones may break my Bones but words will Never Hurt Them So overcoming fear should be easy.
Im talking about the Fear of Rejection. The fear of not being able to succeed. That dreadful Fear of someone saying No! Is No really rejection. Of course not. So why does it enter our lives so often? I try to sell you something but what bothers me? Again Fear. Fear that youll say No. But have you ever watched a child who wants something? Fear never enters their little minds. How many times have you been asked by a child for something lets say a watch thats a good example. In your mind he or she is too young to have a watch. So the answer is No you cant have one. Does the child feel rejected. Never. Two days later Can I have a Watch. The child knows that eventually theyll get a watch.
But what about the adult. After a rejection. Do we go back and ask again. No Fear has entered our heads. But what are we afraid of? We havent been hurt. Maybe our pride has been hurt but what is pride? Its not flesh or bone.
Time to tackle fear. Overcome fear with courage. But how about changing courage to Adventure or Excitement. If something is adventurous then there is the element of danger involved a little excitement enters the room. What has happened to fear? Courage has overcome fear with adventure and excitement.
Purpose a course of action. The purpose of this article is to tackle the element of Fear. So purpose becomes the focal point.
